During this event, held in September, different ethnic groups are blended together to create couscous dishes with various colours and flavours. Cous Cous Fest is the International Festival of Cultural Integration, an important event recurring from past 18 years. A feast of flavours and civilization which celebrates couscous as dish of peace, shared by many cultures, able to bring together in San Vito Lo Capo, in the North-Western Sicily, ten different countries, under the flag of integration and exchange. Tastings, gastronomic competitions, concerts and a wonderful crystal-clear sea: these are the ingredients of the feast. Moreover, cooking lessons for adults and children will show visitors how to prepare an excellent couscous: from the “incocciatura (that means to unite, putting together obtaining small semolina grains)” to cooking.
